Choosing a roofing contractor such as RIG Roofing means expecting premium service, especially when paying a premium price. RIG Roofing seemed promising, but my experience left me with mixed feelings. In this review, I'll detail my journey, highlighting positives, negatives, and areas for improvement. I hope this helps potential customers and offers valuable feedback to RIG Roofing.

Pre-Project:
Patrick, the sales rep, provided exceptional customer service, making them stand out among competitors. He patiently answered all my questions and concerns and explained each step involved. He also gave me helpful recommendations on shingles and drip edges that would match my house and educated me on various skylight and roofing materials.

No pressure to choose their company, but their premium pricing was justified by promised quality as they were the most expensive, I ultimately chose Rig Roofing for its exceptional customer service, Promised high-quality workmanship, and unbeatable warranty. Upon signing the contract, I was assigned a project coordinator, Abby, and a project manager, Kyle

The Roofing Process:
Efficient communication during material delivery was a plus. I contacted RIG's office the day before my installation to inquire about covering the skylight from inside my home. I was told it would be handled from the outside and trusted that RIG had it under control.

Issues:

Shingle/Skylight Debris and Damage:
The crew member used a leaf blower in the skylight openings during the re-roof job, causing roof debris and a bottle of Coke to fall into my home and damage the drywall around all skylights. This event still occurred despite my expressed concerns. If you have skylights, mention this to prevent this from happening to you.

Resolution: The project manager addressed the mess, and a third-party drywall company will fix the damage once the Roof Project is complete.

Workmanship and Roof Imperfections:
The workmanship I received was sloppy and rushed with imperfections like unsecured shingles, exposed flashing, missing shingles, and uneven soft areas.

Resolution: The project manager addressed some issues and marked what the crew needed to be replaced, but some remained unresolved even after the visit.

Skylight and Drywall Damage During Repairs:
The crew damaged the bedroom skylight's drywall during repairs, and left a soft spot and a shingle marked for replacement in the previous issue, leading to a future leak.

Resolution: The office was contacted, and the crew returned but missed some original issues.

Continued Roofing Problems and Frustration:
The crew's return still left unresolved issues, like the soft area and improper hip shingle replacement.

Resolution: Francisco inspected and addressed issues for the next crew visit.

Roof Leakage:
Within a month, my roof leaked despite average rainfall. Noticed the leak after Rig Roofing business hours on Friday and called for their on-call person. Despite being promised a callback, I had to wait three days until the end of the day on Monday to contact them again. Unfortunately, no one from on-call ever called me back.

Resolution: The Leak Crew marked an area for replacement, and the work crew fixed the leak. However, the on-call service needs improvement, which was never addressed, so be careful.

Conclusion and Rating:
RIG Roofing's commitment to integrity and issue resolution deserves commendation, such problems shouldn't arise with a premium price. I hope they improve for future customers' sake and consider compensation for the inconvenience caused. I rate them 4 stars for their commitment but stress the need for improvement. On a positive note, the Third-Party Drywall Contractor provided superb work quality, addressing the RIG crew issues.

Help us with roof repairs and inspection and keeping us updated throughout the entire process. Francisco was able to assist us with the necessary repairs we needed for our roof. He was professional, very knowledgeable, and had excellent communication. We also had a certified roof inspection completed by sales rep Alan. We needed the inspection ASAP to prevent insurance cancellation. He was able to inspect the home and give us a report with photos on such a short notice. Alan was very helpful and knowledgeable as well. Again, we highly recommend RIG. - Hide

This was one of the most professional contractors I have ever met in my 80 yrs. I had lots of problems even finding a roofer to work on my cement tile roof. I called over 20 roofers and only had a couple who would even look at repairing my roof. All wanted to just replace my roof. Luckily I called RIG and from my first call everyone wanted to help. Kristi answered my call and was a great intro to what they would do. Alan Sheppard was great and did my estimate and said I didn’t need a new roof they would repair mine. They did and I’m very pleased. Mr Curtis you have built a great organization. Thank you for what you did. My son and I also scheduled them to replace my sons roof in Tampa. - Hide
