We had a big problem in our master bathroom with the roof leaking. Rig sent out Elijah who inspected our roof, had an idea of what was wrong but wanted to do a water test. The next day he came out with his supervisor and they what they needed to do. I asked for worst case scenario pricing and what they really thought it would take (prepare for the worst, hope for the best). They provided their quote and was out in a few days. Well the repair turned out to be the best case. In fact, it came out less expensive then the best case quote.
Elijah and everyone else I spoke with was amazing with their communications, they came out when they said their would, and extremely clean.
When time comes from the roof replacement I am 100% going back to Rig Roofing based on this experience.

Absolute 5-star experience from start to finish!
We recently used R.I.G. Roofing for a project on our family home at Lake Mirror in Winter Haven after dealing with a frustrating roof leak. From the very beginning, their coordination was flawless. Their website was incredibly easy to navigate, and after filling out the contact form, we received an immediate response. Wow!The entire process was completely seamless. Every single step, from the initial consultation to the inspection with a higher-level manager, receiving the estimate, the actual roof work, and the follow-up care, was handled with total professionalism. It is clear that every department at R.I.G. works hand-in-hand.

I am so pleased with RIG ROOFING! I didn't have any problems at all from start to finish. Emory McTeer was the person I met with to get the project started. Angelina kept me informed about everything during the whole process. Aaron who supervised the job was very helpful and professional. The crew was very nice. Everyone involved exceeded my expectations! - Hide

RIG Roofing and Construction, solved my flat carport roof issues. Emory came out and thoroughly went over my whole roof and took lots of pictures. He listened to what I had to say and offered two options. The crew arrived early, managed by Isai and supervised by Aaron. Let me tell you they worked. This was a complex job and watching them was like watching a well organized group. They took down the flat part, built a temporary wall to hold the exterior structure up. They replaced the structural beam, by building it in place. Attached the cross beams and replaced the plywood. Then added the ISO board to create a slight tilt, so the water would flow off the roof. Then covered it with TPO sheeting. All this in one day and it poured for an hour or so. I was impressed. Thank you so much for the work well done. - Hide
How Roofing Changes Across Lake County
South Lake: Clermont, Minneola and Four Corners
The fastest growth in the county is in South Lake, from Clermont and Minneola down to Four Corners near the Polk, Orange and Osceola lines. Most homes here are newer HOA builds with architectural shingle or concrete tile roofs, color rules to follow, and builder-grade components that can start showing their age sooner than owners expect.
Tavares, Eustis and Mount Dora
Around the Harris Chain of Lakes, the county seat of Tavares, Eustis and Mount Dora have historic downtowns, older frame and block homes, and lakefront properties. Older homes here can hide worn board decking or more than one layer of shingles, and humidity off the lakes makes attic ventilation and algae streaking recurring topics.
Leesburg, Lady Lake and the 55-Plus Communities
In the north and west of the county, Leesburg, Fruitland Park and Lady Lake are home to many retirement and manufactured home communities, where metal roof-overs and shingle replacements on a deed-restricted schedule are common requests.
Every Roof Type Has a Place in Lake County
No single material wins everywhere, and we install and repair all of them:
-
Architectural shingles cover most Lake County homes and are usually the lowest upfront cost.
-
Metal roofing is a long-term favorite on lake homes, rural properties and manufactured homes.
-
Concrete and clay tile shows up in many golf and HOA communities in South Lake.
-
Flat sections over Florida rooms and the low-slope tops of shops and storefronts are usually rebuilt in TPO or PVC membranes.
What Storms Have Taught Us About Lake County Roofs
Hurricane Ian crossed Central Florida in late September 2022 and dropped heavy rain across Lake County, flooding low-lying neighborhoods and leaving streets in Astor along the St. Johns River underwater for weeks. Inland storms like that are hard on roofs that are already worn. The pattern we see afterward: lifted shingles, loose ridge caps, failed pipe boots, and leaks at wall and chimney flashing.
Who Issues Roof Permits in Lake County?
Lake County has 14 incorporated cities and towns. Homes in unincorporated areas are permitted through the county, while cities such as Clermont, Leesburg, Tavares, Eustis and Mount Dora handle their own permits. Because the right office depends on the exact address, we confirm it for every job, pull the permit, and schedule the required inspections ourselves.
If your roof is only a few years old, enrolling it in our Roof Maintenance Program means a trained set of eyes checks it on a schedule. For older ones, a free roof assessment tells you honestly whether repair or replacement makes more sense.
