Trusted Roof Repair and Replacement Between Lakeland and Winter Haven
R.I.G. Roofing is a faith-based, family-owned roofing company that serves Auburndale, Florida from our nearby Winter Haven headquarters and Lakeland satellite office. Since 2005 our crews have handled roof repairs, full replacements, and maintenance on shingle, metal, tile, and flat roofs across Polk County. Every project starts with a free roof assessment, most Auburndale homes are re-roofed in a single day, and our workmanship warranty runs 10 to 20 years on top of the manufacturer's coverage.
Auburndale sits right between our two Polk County offices, so a crew is rarely more than a short drive up US-92 or I-4 from your driveway. That matters when a summer storm pulls back shingles on a Saturday, and it matters years later when you want the same people who installed your roof to come take a look.
We believe in teaching before selling. You will get photos of what we see, a plain explanation of your options, and a written estimate with no pressure attached.

What Auburndale Homeowners Should Know About Their Roofs
From Old Downtown Bungalows to New Lakeside Communities
Auburndale grew up around citrus and the railroad, and the streets near downtown and Lake Ariana still hold frame homes and cottages from the early 1900s. Many of these houses have been re-roofed several times, and the decking underneath often tells the story with soft spots and old nail holes. Further out, the block ranch homes of Lake Juliana Estates, Lake Tennessee, and the Lake Arietta area date from the 1960s through the 1990s and often mix a pitched main roof with a flat porch or Florida room.
The newest growth is along the Polk Parkway and the roads toward Lakeland, with newer communities such as Bellaviva, Cadence Crossing, and Lake Mariana Reserve. Those roofs are usually still under warranty, so the focus there is on keeping a clean maintenance record and fixing builder-grade flashing details before they leak.
Choosing a Roof Material in Auburndale
We install and repair every common roof system in the area, so we can recommend what fits your house instead of what fits a sales quota:
-
Architectural shingles cover most Auburndale homes and give you the lowest cost per year of service. Our shingle roofs
-
Standing seam and exposed fastener metal is popular on lakefront homes, acreage, and older houses where owners want one roof for the rest of their time there. Our metal roofs
-
Concrete and clay tile shows up on Mediterranean style homes around the lakes and in several gated neighborhoods. Our tile roofs
-
TPO and PVC membranes replace failing roll roofing on porches, carports, and small commercial buildings along Main Street and US-92. TPO roofing and PVC roofing
Auburndale Permits and Paperwork
For addresses inside city limits, roofing permits go through the City of Auburndale's Construction Services office. The city asks for a permit application, Florida Product Approval sheets for the roofing material, a written scope of work, and a recorded Notice of Commencement before the first inspection. Properties outside the city line, which includes a good share of the lake communities with Auburndale addresses, are permitted by Polk County. R.I.G. Roofing prepares and submits all of it for you, and we coordinate with your HOA if your neighborhood has one.
Storms, Lakes and Florida Sun
Auburndale is surrounded by water, and the humid air off Lake Ariana and Lake Juliana keeps shaded roofs damp long after a morning rain. That moisture feeds algae and speeds up rot at the fascia. Summer thunderstorms bring gusty downbursts and lightning, and Hurricane Milton in October 2024 left lifted shingles, damaged ridge caps, and fallen limbs across Polk County.
After a storm, the most common Auburndale repairs we make are replacing blown-off shingles and ridge caps, resealing loose flashing, swapping cracked pipe boots, and repairing soffit damaged by wind-driven rain.
Fix It Now or Plan a Replacement?
A single leak on a roof under 12 years old is usually a repair. Widespread granule loss, multiple leaks, or a shingle roof approaching 20 years usually points toward a replacement. Book a free roof assessment and we will tell you honestly which camp your roof falls into. To stretch the life of a newer roof, ask about our Roof Maintenance Program.
Serving All of Auburndale and Its Neighbors
We work across downtown Auburndale, Lake Ariana, Lake Juliana, Lake Arietta, Lake Mariana, Lake Tennessee, and the newer communities near the Polk Parkway. Our crews are also in Lakeland, Winter Haven, Polk City, Lake Alfred, and throughout Polk County.

RIG Roofing and Construction, solved my flat carport roof issues. Emory came out and thoroughly went over my whole roof and took lots of pictures. He listened to what I had to say and offered two options. The crew arrived early, managed by Isai and supervised by Aaron. Let me tell you they worked. This was a complex job and watching them was like watching a well organized group. They took down the flat part, built a temporary wall to hold the exterior structure up. They replaced the structural beam, by building it in place. Attached the cross beams and replaced the plywood. Then added the ISO board to create a slight tilt, so the water would flow off the roof. Then covered it with TPO sheeting. All this in one day and it poured for an hour or so. I was impressed. Thank you so much for the work well done. - Hide

I cannot say enough great things about Aaron Chandler and RIG Roofing! Aaron's communication throughout the entire process was exceptional. He was responsive at all hours of the day and understood how important our timeline was. We needed a complete reroof finished in time to satisfy insurance requirements, bind coverage, and keep our real estate closing on schedule with no delays.
RIG Roofing delivered! The entire reroof was completed in just one day, and I was extremely impressed with the quality, efficiency, and professionalism of the crew. Even the neighbors commented on how amazed they were with the process and quality of the work.
What impressed me just as much was the attention to detail. The landscaping and exterior of the home were kept in meticulous condition throughout the project, everything was cleaned up beautifully, and they even left spare shingles for the homeowners should they ever need them in the future.

Auburndale Roofing FAQs
A typical architectural shingle replacement in Auburndale falls between $8,000 and $18,000. Metal and tile roofs generally range from $10,000 to $30,000. Your price depends on square footage, roof pitch, the material you choose, and whether rotted decking needs replacing. Estimates are free, and qualified homeowners can finance the project.
Inside city limits, the City of Auburndale Construction Services office issues roofing permits and requires a Notice of Commencement before the first inspection. Homes outside the city line are permitted through Polk County. We take care of the permit either way.
It often is. Metal handles wind well, sheds rain quickly, resists algae, and can last 40 years or more. Many lakefront owners still choose shingles or tile for budget or style reasons, and we install all three, so we can compare them side by side for your home.
Yes. If the rest of the roof is sound, we will repair the damaged section and match materials as closely as possible. We only recommend a full replacement when repairs would cost you more over time.
Yes. We regularly work in deed-restricted neighborhoods and can provide the product specifications, color samples, and contractor paperwork your HOA needs for approval.
Because Auburndale sits between our Winter Haven and Lakeland offices, we can usually get there quickly. If water is entering your home, call (863) 294-4477 and ask for Emergency Dry In service. We will protect the opening and photograph the damage, which also helps if you decide to file with your insurer.
Ask for the license number and look it up with the Florida DBPR. R.I.G. Roofing operates under licenses CBC1257644 and CCC1329175 and carries liability and workers' compensation insurance on every job.
