A Port Richey Roofer You Can Trust
R.I.G. Roofing is a faith-based, family-owned roofing contractor that has served Central Florida since 2005, and our crews work in Port Richey from our home office and showroom in Winter Haven. We repair and replace shingle, metal, tile, and TPO or PVC flat roofs for homes, manufactured homes, churches and businesses. Every job starts with a free roof assessment, most residential replacements are finished in one day, and every new roof is backed by a 10 to 20 year workmanship warranty.
Port Richey is a small waterfront city on the Pasco County Gulf coast, settled in the 1880s by Aaron Richey near the mouth of the Pithlachascotee River and incorporated in 1925. Many homes here sit on canals or close to the river, with a mix of concrete block homes, elevated homes and manufactured homes, and the whole city is in a flood zone.
Owners James and Bridget Curtis built the company on a simple promise: tell homeowners the truth about their roof, even when the truth is a small repair instead of a big sale. That is still how we work today.

We had a big problem in our master bathroom with the roof leaking. Rig sent out Elijah who inspected our roof, had an idea of what was wrong but wanted to do a water test. The next day he came out with his supervisor and they what they needed to do. I asked for worst case scenario pricing and what they really thought it would take (prepare for the worst, hope for the best). They provided their quote and was out in a few days. Well the repair turned out to be the best case. In fact, it came out less expensive then the best case quote.
Elijah and everyone else I spoke with was amazing with their communications, they came out when they said their would, and extremely clean.
When time comes from the roof replacement I am 100% going back to Rig Roofing based on this experience.

Absolute 5-star experience from start to finish!
We recently used R.I.G. Roofing for a project on our family home at Lake Mirror in Winter Haven after dealing with a frustrating roof leak. From the very beginning, their coordination was flawless. Their website was incredibly easy to navigate, and after filling out the contact form, we received an immediate response. Wow!The entire process was completely seamless. Every single step, from the initial consultation to the inspection with a higher-level manager, receiving the estimate, the actual roof work, and the follow-up care, was handled with total professionalism. It is clear that every department at R.I.G. works hand-in-hand.

I am so pleased with RIG ROOFING! I didn't have any problems at all from start to finish. Emory McTeer was the person I met with to get the project started. Angelina kept me informed about everything during the whole process. Aaron who supervised the job was very helpful and professional. The crew was very nice. Everyone involved exceeded my expectations! - Hide

RIG Roofing and Construction, solved my flat carport roof issues. Emory came out and thoroughly went over my whole roof and took lots of pictures. He listened to what I had to say and offered two options. The crew arrived early, managed by Isai and supervised by Aaron. Let me tell you they worked. This was a complex job and watching them was like watching a well organized group. They took down the flat part, built a temporary wall to hold the exterior structure up. They replaced the structural beam, by building it in place. Attached the cross beams and replaced the plywood. Then added the ISO board to create a slight tilt, so the water would flow off the roof. Then covered it with TPO sheeting. All this in one day and it poured for an hour or so. I was impressed. Thank you so much for the work well done. - Hide
A Port Richey Roofing Guide for Homeowners
Waterfront Homes and Salt Air
Homes on Port Richey's canals and along the river take steady salt air and Gulf wind, which wears out flashing, fasteners and older metal faster than on homes inland. We check every one of those parts, plus the decking, before we quote, and we use corrosion-resistant fasteners and flashing on every waterfront job.
Choosing a Roof for Your Port Richey Home
-
Metal roofing is a top choice for waterfront and manufactured homes because it holds up to coastal wind.
-
Architectural shingles are the most affordable choice for many Port Richey block homes.
-
Tile shows up on some newer and custom homes.
-
Low-slope porches, additions and commercial roofs along US-19 are rebuilt in TPO or PVC.
What Storms Have Taught Us
Hurricane Idalia pushed storm surge onto the Pasco coast in August 2023, and Hurricane Helene flooded streets and homes across Port Richey in September 2024. Storms like these are why we check every roof for lifted shingles, rusted flashing, failed pipe boots and loose metal panels.
Port Richey Roof Permits
Homes inside city limits are permitted through the City of Port Richey Building Inspection Division, which requires a permit for roof work of 100 square feet or more. Homes with a Port Richey mailing address outside city limits are permitted through Pasco County. We pull the right permit and schedule the inspections for every roof replacement we do.
Communities Near Port Richey
Our crews also serve New Port Richey, Hudson, Holiday, Trinity and the rest of Pasco County. Not sure where to start? Book a free roof assessment.

Common Questions From Port Richey Homeowners
Standing seam metal and high wind rated shingles both hold up well near the water, as long as they are installed with corrosion-resistant fasteners and flashing. We walk you through the cost and lifespan of each during your free roof assessment.
Yes. Inside city limits, roof work of 100 square feet or more needs a permit and inspections from the City of Port Richey. Outside city limits the permit comes from Pasco County. We handle the permit and inspections either way.
Yes. Strong winds often loosen shingles, flashing and ridge caps even when most of the damage came from water inside the home. A free roof assessment documents any storm damage to the roof for your insurance claim.
Call (863) 294-4477 . Our team can tarp and dry in the damaged area to stop leaks, then document the damage for your insurance claim before permanent repairs.
