I am so pleased with RIG ROOFING! I didn't have any problems at all from start to finish. Emory McTeer was the person I met with to get the project started. RIG Roofing and Construction, solved my flat carport roof issues. Emory came out and thoroughly went over my whole roof and took lots of pictures. He listened to what I had to say and offered two options. The crew arrived early, managed by Isai and supervised by Aaron. Let me tell you they worked. This was a complex job and watching them was like watching a well organized group. They took down the flat part, built a temporary wall to hold the exterior structure up. They replaced the structural beam, by building it in place. Attached the cross beams and replaced the plywood. Then added the ISO board to create a slight tilt, so the water would flow off the roof. Then covered it with TPO sheeting. All this in one day and it poured for an hour or so. I was impressed. Thank you so much for the work well done. - Hide

I cannot say enough great things about Aaron Chandler and RIG Roofing! Aaron's communication throughout the entire process was exceptional. He was responsive at all hours of the day and understood how important our timeline was. We needed a complete reroof finished in time to satisfy insurance requirements, bind coverage, and keep our real estate closing on schedule with no delays.
RIG Roofing delivered! The entire reroof was completed in just one day, and I was extremely impressed with the quality, efficiency, and professionalism of the crew. Even the neighbors commented on how amazed they were with the process and quality of the work.
What impressed me just as much was the attention to detail. The landscaping and exterior of the home were kept in meticulous condition throughout the project, everything was cleaned up beautifully, and they even left spare shingles for the homeowners should they ever need them in the future.

Roofing in Davenport: Rentals, Resorts and a Railroad Town
Two Davenports Under One Name
There is the small city that grew up around the railroad, incorporated in 1915, with a National Register historic district full of 1920s buildings like the 1927 red brick schoolhouse. Then there is the much larger area along US-27 and toward I-4 that shares the Davenport mailing address: Posner Park, the old Baseball City site, and resort and golf communities such as ChampionsGate, Solterra and Providence. Roofing needs are quite different between the two.
Roof Systems We See Around Davenport
Every type has its place here, and our crews install and repair them all:
-
Concrete tile is everywhere in the gated resort communities, where cracked or slipped tiles and worn underlayment are common repair calls. Tile roofing
-
Architectural shingle covers most single-family subdivisions and is the budget-friendly re-roof choice. Shingle roofing
-
Metal is a strong choice for the older homes near downtown and for owners who want the longest service life. Metal roofing
-
Low-slope membranes such as TPO and PVC fit pool-home lanai tie-ins, retail plazas and commercial buildings.
Advice for Vacation Rental Owners
A large share of the homes in the Davenport resort communities are short-term rentals, and their owners often live out of state. A slow leak above a guest suite can go weeks before anyone notices. We can inspect between bookings, send photos and a short report by email, and schedule repairs with your property manager. Pairing a rental with our Roof Maintenance Program is one of the simplest ways to avoid a bad review caused by a ceiling stain.
Storm Lessons From Hurricane Ian
When Hurricane Ian moved across Polk County in September 2022, Haines City and Davenport were reported as the most affected parts of the county. The common roof problems afterward were familiar ones: shingles lifted along eaves and ridges, tiles knocked loose at hips, and soffits pulled away. Most of those failures start small, which is why an inspection after any major storm is worth the phone call.
Who Permits a Davenport Re-Roof?
Homes inside the city limits are permitted through the City of Davenport Building and Planning Department on West Magnolia Street. Many of the larger communities with a Davenport address are outside the city and are permitted by Polk County, and ChampionsGate sits just across the line in Osceola County, which issues its own permits. We confirm the right office from your parcel record, file the permit, and arrange every required inspection. HOA communities usually need an architectural approval too, and we supply the product details for that.
Signs It Is Time to Call Us
Water spots on ceilings, granules collecting at the bottom of downspouts, cracked tiles visible from the yard, and shingles that look wavy on hot afternoons are all reasons to book a free roof assessment. We will tell you honestly whether a repair will hold or a replacement makes more sense.
Neighboring Communities
From Davenport our crews regularly continue on to Haines City, Lake Hamilton, Dundee, Polk City and the rest of Polk County.
