Sebring Roof Repair and Replacement With a Personal Touch
R.I.G. Roofing is a family-owned, faith-based, fully licensed roofing contractor that serves Sebring, Florida and the rest of Highlands County from our home office in Winter Haven, a straight drive down US-27. Since 2005 we have repaired and replaced shingle, metal, tile and flat roofs for homeowners, retirees, churches and businesses across Central Florida. We offer free roof assessments, finish most residential replacements in one day, and stand behind every new roof with a 10 to 20 year workmanship warranty.
Sebring is a place where people plan to stay. Many residents are retirees, many homes belong to seasonal residents who spend summers up north, and a lot of houses have been in the same hands for decades. That shapes how we work here: we explain every option clearly, coordinate with family members or neighbors when an owner is away, and never push a replacement when a repair will do.
If you want to see materials first, our Winter Haven showroom has shingle colors, metal panel profiles and tile samples, or we can bring samples to your kitchen table in Sebring.

I am so pleased with RIG ROOFING! I didn't have any problems at all from start to finish. Emory McTeer was the person I met with to get the project started. Angelina kept me informed about everything during the whole process. Aaron who supervised the job was very helpful and professional. The crew was very nice. RIG Roofing and Construction, solved my flat carport roof issues. Emory came out and thoroughly went over my whole roof and took lots of pictures. He listened to what I had to say and offered two options. The crew arrived early, managed by Isai and supervised by Aaron. Let me tell you they worked. This was a complex job and watching them was like watching a well organized group. They took down the flat part, built a temporary wall to hold the exterior structure up. They replaced the structural beam, by building it in place. Attached the cross beams and replaced the plywood. Then added the ISO board to create a slight tilt, so the water would flow off the roof. Then covered it with TPO sheeting. All this in one day and it poured for an hour or so. I was impressed. Thank you so much for the work well done. - Hide

I cannot say enough great things about Aaron Chandler and RIG Roofing! Aaron's communication throughout the entire process was exceptional. He was responsive at all hours of the day and understood how important our timeline was. We needed a complete reroof finished in time to satisfy insurance requirements, bind coverage, and keep our real estate closing on schedule with no delays.
RIG Roofing delivered! The entire reroof was completed in just one day, and I was extremely impressed with the quality, efficiency, and professionalism of the crew. Even the neighbors commented on how amazed they were with the process and quality of the work.
What impressed me just as much was the attention to detail. The landscaping and exterior of the home were kept in meticulous condition throughout the project, everything was cleaned up beautifully, and they even left spare shingles for the homeowners should they ever need them in the future.

What Sebring Homeowners Should Know About Their Roofs
The City on the Circle and Its Housing
George Sebring, an Ohio pottery maker, laid out the town in 1912 around Circle Drive on the shore of Lake Jackson. Boom-era landmarks like Harder Hall and Kenilworth Lodge still stand, and the streets near downtown hold many older block and frame homes. Outside the center you will find newer and mid-century neighborhoods such as Sun 'n Lake, Sebring Hills and Sebring Country Estates, plus a large number of manufactured home and 55-plus communities spread along US-27 and the lakes.
Roofing Choices for Highlands County Homes
Each roof type has a home in Sebring, and our crews install and repair every one of them:
-
Shingles: most Sebring houses wear architectural shingles, a dependable roof at a sensible price. See shingle options
-
Metal: popular on manufactured homes, ranch properties and with retirees who want a roof that may outlast the mortgage. See metal options
-
Tile: found on many lakefront and golf-course homes and in deed-restricted neighborhoods. See tile options
-
Flat roofs: carports, Florida rooms and commercial buildings along US-27 get TPO or PVC systems.
Roofs for Mobile and Manufactured Homes
Highlands County has a large share of manufactured housing, and these roofs have their own needs. Older metal roofs on mobile homes often leak at seams and fasteners, and many owners choose a metal roof-over with proper insulation to quiet the rain noise and cut heat gain. We can walk you through the options and what your park or community allows.
Hurricane Milton and Highlands County Wind
Hurricane Milton in October 2024 reminded everyone that inland does not mean safe. The National Weather Service recorded gusts up to 73 mph across Highlands County, with some of the highest readings at Sebring Regional Airport, and confirmed five tornadoes in the county, including an EF-2 near Lake Placid. On Sebring roofs we still look for the after-effects: shingles that lost their seal, loose metal trim, cracked tile at hips and ridges, and damaged soffits.
Sebring and Highlands County Permits
If your home is inside city limits, the re-roof permit comes from the City of Sebring Building Department on South Commerce Avenue, which also requires contractors to register with the city. Homes outside city limits are permitted by the Highlands County Building Department. R.I.G. Roofing confirms the right jurisdiction, pulls the permit, and schedules every inspection, so you do not have to make a single phone call.
A Good Plan for Seasonal Residents
If you leave Sebring for the summer, the roof is the part of the house nobody is watching during storm season. Our Roof Maintenance Program schedules inspections so problems are found while you are away, and we send photos so you are never guessing. When something does need attention, our free roof assessment tells you whether a repair or a replacement is the smarter move.
Nearby Towns on the Ridge
Along with Sebring we serve Avon Park, Lake Placid and the rest of Highlands County, and to the north in Polk County, Frostproof and Lake Wales.
