Roofing is a faith-based, family-owned roofing contractor that has served Brandon, Florida homeowners and business owners from our nearby Tampa satellite office, backed by our Winter Haven headquarters, since 2005. We handle roof repair, full roof replacement, maintenance plans, and emergency dry-in for shingle, metal, tile, TPO, and PVC roofs. Every Brandon homeowner gets a free roof assessment, most of our home replacements wrap up in one day, and our work carries a 10 to 20 year workmanship warranty.
Brandon sits right between our Tampa satellite office and our Polk County headquarters, so our crews pass through town nearly every working day. That matters when a summer storm pushes rain under a lifted shingle and you need someone on site quickly, not next week.

We had a big problem in our master bathroom with the roof leaking. Rig sent out Elijah who inspected our roof, had an idea of what was wrong but wanted to do a water test. The next day he came out with his supervisor and they what they needed to do. I asked for worst case scenario pricing and what they really thought it would take (prepare for the worst, hope for the best). They provided their quote and was out in a few days. Well the repair turned out to be the best case. In fact, it came out less expensive then the best case quote.
Elijah and everyone else I spoke with was amazing with their communications, they came out when they said their would, and extremely clean.
When time comes from the roof replacement I am 100% going back to Rig Roofing based on this experience.

Absolute 5-star experience from start to finish!
We recently used R.I.G. Roofing for a project on our family home at Lake Mirror in Winter Haven after dealing with a frustrating roof leak. From the very beginning, their coordination was flawless. Their website was incredibly easy to navigate, and after filling out the contact form, we received an immediate response. Wow!The entire process was completely seamless. Every single step, from the initial consultation to the inspection with a higher-level manager, receiving the estimate, the actual roof work, and the follow-up care, was handled with total professionalism. It is clear that every department at R.I.G. works hand-in-hand.

I am so pleased with RIG ROOFING! I didn't have any problems at all from start to finish. Emory McTeer was the person I met with to get the project started. Angelina kept me informed about everything during the whole process. Aaron who supervised the job was very helpful and professional. The crew was very nice. Everyone involved exceeded my expectations! - Hide

RIG Roofing and Construction, solved my flat carport roof issues. Emory came out and thoroughly went over my whole roof and took lots of pictures. He listened to what I had to say and offered two options. The crew arrived early, managed by Isai and supervised by Aaron. Let me tell you they worked. This was a complex job and watching them was like watching a well organized group. They took down the flat part, built a temporary wall to hold the exterior structure up. They replaced the structural beam, by building it in place. Attached the cross beams and replaced the plywood. Then added the ISO board to create a slight tilt, so the water would flow off the roof. Then covered it with TPO sheeting. All this in one day and it poured for an hour or so. I was impressed. Thank you so much for the work well done. - Hide
Roofing in Brandon: Housing, Storms and Permits
Brandon's Housing Stock and What It Means for Your Roof
Much of Brandon grew up in the 1980s and 1990s, and a lot of those original roofs have already been replaced at least once. Providence Lakes subdivisions such as Wyngate were built between roughly 1988 and 1994, and Brandon Traces off Lakewood Drive started going up in the late 1980s. Newer pockets like Lumsden Reserves and the gated Hidden Reserve in South Brandon came later, while Bloomingdale and Dominion fall somewhere in between. Ask your neighbors and you will hear a mix of second-generation shingle roofs, concrete tile, and a growing number of metal roofs.
Here is how those roof systems tend to show up around town, and R.I.G. Roofing installs and repairs every one of them:
-
Dimensional asphalt shingles cover most single-family homes in Brandon's established subdivisions and remain the most cost-effective replacement. Learn about shingle roofs
-
Concrete tile shows up on many two-story homes and HOA communities built in the 1990s and 2000s. Learn about tile roofs
-
Standing seam and exposed fastener metal is a popular upgrade for Brandon owners who want a roof that outlasts their mortgage. Learn about metal roofs
-
Low-slope sections over lanais, carports, and the retail strips along State Road 60 are usually rebuilt with TPO or PVC single-ply membrane.
Storm Season Along the I-75 Corridor
Hurricane Milton made the point in October 2024. The National Weather Service reported peak gusts of roughly 80 to 100 mph across Hillsborough County and 10 to 15 inches of rain over most of the county. Roofs that looked fine from the driveway were suddenly missing ridge caps, dripping at the chimney, or showing stains on the ceiling the following week.
Outside of hurricanes, Brandon's biggest roof enemies are the daily summer downpours, strong straight-line winds from afternoon storms, and heavy oak canopy that drops limbs and holds moisture on shaded slopes. We regularly find failed pipe boots, rusted valley metal, and soft plywood hidden under roofs that are only 12 or 13 years old.
Who Issues Roofing Permits in Brandon?
Brandon has never incorporated as a city, which means homeowners here deal with the county for building approvals. Re-roof permits for Brandon homes are issued by Hillsborough County Development Services. R.I.G. Roofing applies for the permit, meets the county inspector, and keeps the paperwork on file for you. Many Brandon subdivisions also have deed restrictions or an HOA, so we gladly supply color boards and product data sheets for your architectural committee before we schedule the job.
Should You Repair or Replace?
A single leak on a roof that is otherwise in good shape is almost always a repair. Once a shingle roof passes about 15 years, has multiple leak spots, or shows bare patches where granules have washed into the gutters, replacement usually saves money over chasing one repair after another. Start with a free roof assessment, and we will tell you honestly which side of that line your roof is on. Learn more about roof repair and roof replacement.
Neighborhoods and Nearby Communities
From Brandon Traces and Providence Lakes to Bloomingdale, Dominion, Lumsden Reserves, and the streets around Westfield Brandon, our crews know this side of the county well. We also serve neighboring Valrico, Seffner, Riverview, FishHawk, Plant City, and Tampa, along with every corner of Hillsborough County.

Brandon Roofing FAQs
Price depends on square footage, pitch, the material you choose, and how much decking needs replacing once the old roof comes off. As a general guide, a typical architectural shingle replacement on a Brandon home runs about $8,000 to $18,000, and metal or tile commonly lands in the $10,000 to $30,000 range. Your written Brandon quote comes after a no-cost visit to the property, and qualified homeowners can spread the cost out with financing.
Because Brandon is unincorporated, re-roof permits come from Hillsborough County rather than a city building department. Our team pulls that permit and coordinates the county inspections on every roof we replace.
Many Brandon subdivisions have deed restrictions or an architectural review process, especially for color and material changes. Check your HOA documents, and we will provide the product sheets and color samples your committee asks for so approval moves quickly.
Our Tampa satellite office keeps crews close to Brandon, so we can usually schedule an inspection quickly. If water is actively coming in, our Emergency Dry In service covers the damaged area to protect your home until the permanent repair is done.
It can be. Metal handles wind well, reflects heat, and often lasts well beyond a shingle roof, though it costs more up front. Shingle and tile are also excellent choices here, and we install all three, so we can price each option for your home and let you compare.
Yes. We repair and replace flat and low-slope commercial roofs with TPO and PVC membrane, and we install metal roofs on commercial buildings. We can also set up a maintenance schedule for property managers who oversee several buildings.
Stay clear of any ceiling that is bulging with water, snap a few pictures from your yard, and give our office a call at (863) 294-4477 . We will inspect, tarp anything that is open to the weather, and document the damage in case you choose to contact your insurer.
