Last week’s ClickOrlando story shared the powerful challenges Eldridge Mack faced in securing a new roof for his home: battling illness, navigating months of delays, and searching through more than a dozen contractors—only to be left waiting, uncertain, and worried about where the help would come from.
That’s when Gorilla Profile, seeing his story, reached out to us at R.I.G. Roofing. We were glad to answer the call. Within hours, our Director of Vendor Relations, Gary Solano, connected with our owner, Mr. Curtis, and the response was immediate and compassionate: “Of course.”
But the story doesn't stop there. Mr Mack had a grant from the My Safe Florida Home Program which covered up to $10,000 for his new roof. However, the job exceeded that amount. Without hesitation, Mr. Curtis stepped in and said: “Let’s do it with no money out of pocket.” WKMG 10
We installed brand-new architectural shingles with outstanding wind-resistance, and energy-efficiency. We were also happy to provide Mr. Mack with a wind mitigation report to provide to his insurance company noting his home's increased wind resistance and safety due to his new roof. His reaction? A beautiful, heartfelt: “I didn’t know there are honest, good people out there.”
We know that it’s more than a roof, it’s a foundation for hope, safety, and peace of mind. We’re honored to step up for neighbors like Mr. Mack and prove that hope is not lost.
